Enacts new Electricity Market Law

Turkey enacted a new Electricity Market Law, in which the Energy Market Operations Corporation was established to organize the wholesale electricity market and to operate a trade emission platform. It limits the capital share coming from public institutions and companies with public capital to 15 percent, thereby allowing private companies to participate in the new company.
