New free trade zone established

Djibouti created a Free Trade Zone (Decree No. 2015-062/PRE) which covers about 43.5 sq. km and is placed under the responsibility of the Ports & Free Zones Authority. The free trade zone, which will have export industries, an industrial zone, a motor vehicle distribution center and a petroleum center, seeks to reinforce the competitiveness of the country, and attract investments and stimulate economic activities both in the secondary and tertiary sectors.
