Adoption of an investment law

On 19 April 2018, the Parliament of Angola passed an investment law, which scraps rules that previously forced foreign investors to partner with local firms. The law effectively ended the requirement that at least 35 percent of the capital had to come from Angolan partners. Further, it ended the requirement of a minimum investment level of 50 million kwanza (180,000 euros, $230,000).
