Law provides the regulatory framework for public-private partnerships

On 20 February 2020, Law nr. 47-20 regulating public private partnerships was enacted. The law provides the framework to implement public private partnerships in the country with an outline of the entire procedure: the presentation of initiatives, the declaration of public interest and the process for their adjudication. This regulatory framework allows balancing the powers, obligations, risks and benefits of the government and the private sector with the aim of attracting investors for strategic projects.
