Repeal of various tax incentives for manufacturing

Through amendments to the Income Tax Act published on 8 June 2020, the Government repealed various tax incentives previously granted to manufacturers, EPZs entities, and for goods manufactured in the EPZs, including the special tax incentives granted to registered manufacturers; the 80% export allowance in respect of the export of goods manufactured in Namibia, excluding fish and meat products; and the tax exemptions for EPZ entities, goods manufactured in EPZs and the movement of goods in and out of EPZs.
