Enacts economic sanctions targeting the Central Bank of the Russian Federation and several State-owned companies

On 24 March 2022, the Government of the United States announced that economic sanctions targeting the Central Bank of the Russian Federation now include any transactions involving gold reserves. Additionally, 48 key State-owned defense companies from the Russian Federation are now targeted by full blocking sanctions.
