24 Feb 2024

On 23 February 2024, the European Union introduced its 13th package of sanctions against the Russian Federation. It further extended its trade sanctions and added 194 individuals and entities to the sanction list, subjecting them to asset freezing and a ban on the provision of funds or economic resources. Furthermore, the package expanded the list of entities connected to Russian Federation’s military and industrial complex by 27 and included 10 companies outside the Russian Federation that have assisted in circumventing sanctions, making them subject to tighter export restrictions concerning restricted goods and technologies.
