Eases foreign exchange rules on repatriation of new foreign investments

On 15 April 2025, the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic announced through Communication "A" 8230, that non-resident investors will be allowed to access the official foreign exchange market (Mercado Libre de Cambios – MLC) without prior approval for the repatriation of new investments, subject to certain conditions. The original investment amount must first be settled in the MLC, on or after 21 April 2025 and a minimum holding period of six months will apply, to be verified by the financial institution facilitating the inflow.
