Eases the local integration requirements to access duty-free imports under the Large Investment Projects regime

12 Jul 2025

On 11 July 2025, Argentina’s Ministry of Economy adopted Resolution 938/2025, which eases eligibility conditions under the Import Regime for Goods Constituting Large Investment Projects (established by Resolution 256/2000, as amended).

The measure reduces the minimum local integration requirement that firms must meet in order to benefit from duty-free imports of new machinery and capital goods used in eligible industrial and investment projects in Argentina. Specifically, beneficiary firms are now required to purchase new, locally produced goods equivalent to at least 10% of the total FOB value of the imported goods, down from the previous threshold of 20%.
