Provides support to investment in renewable energy and decarbonization equipment

On 2 April 2025, the European Commission approved a €380 million State aid scheme of France to support the production of renewable energy and decarbonization equipment. The measure aims to advance the transition to a net-zero economy. The aid will take the form of direct grants and repayable advances for the production of batteries, solar panels, wind turbines, heat pumps, electrolysers and equipment for carbon capture, usage and storage, as well as related key components.

The scheme is in line with the Temporary Crisis and Transition Framework, provided that the aid does not exceed the ceilings set out in that Framework and is granted before 31 December 2025.
