Signs the ICSID Convention

On 6 March 2026, Honduras signed the Convention on the Settlement of Investment Disputes between States and Nationals of Other States (ICSID Convention), reversing its withdrawal in February 2024 under the previous administration. Honduras is the 166th signatory State.

Upon ratification, Honduras will become an ICSID member State and participate in its governance through representation on the Administrative Council. It will also grant access to dispute settlement and mediation services to both the government and foreign investors.
