Incentivizes linkages and open innovation

On 24 November 2024, Algeria adopted the 2025 Finance Law ( Loi n° 24-08, Loi de Finances pour 2025) to encourage collaborations between companies and certified startups or incubators. The law entered into force on 1 January 2025.

In accordance with Article 10 of the Finance Law, companies could benefit from a tax deduction of up to 30 per cent of their annual taxable profit, capped at Algerian Dinar 200 million (approximately $1.4 million) per year, for expenditures incurred in-house Research & Development (R&D) or open innovation projects conducted with startups and accredited incubators or a combination of both in-house and collaborative projects.
