The UNCTAD World Investment Forum 2023 (WIF) is the biggest in-person sustainable investment event of the year. It will take place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), from 16 to 20 October 2023.

The World Investment Forum will feature over 130 high-profile events, in partnership with prestigious international institutions.

This global gathering of over 3,000 investment stakeholders for a solid week of deals, deliberations and debates, is the kind of event that builds lifelong professional networks.

Registration on the Indico portal

Speakers and participants are required to register for the WIF 2023 via Indico, the official United Nations portal. Registration will give access to the conference venue and all WIF sessions.

Visa requirements

Please consult the visa requirements for your travel to the United Arab Emirates, including transit visas if necessary for connecting flights through other countries. For more information on visa applications for the United Arab Emirates, please visit the UAE Government website. Conference location

The 8th World Investment Forum 2023 will take place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) , Khaleej Al Arabi Street, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates 16-20 October 2023.

UNCTAD's World Investment Forum requires visitors with disabilities to have the same opportunities and access as all visitors, therefore ramps and lifts are provided at the entrances to ADNEC, lifts operate between the floors and ADNEC has a limited number of wheelchairs for hire for visitors.

Shuttle bus service

A regular shuttle bus will be arranged between the Abu Dhabi international airport , the WIF conference facilities (ADNEC) and main hotels for registered WIF participants. Additional information will be communicated at a later stage.

Parking

There are paying car parks at ADNEC that have direct access into the exhibition centre. Additional information can be found on the ADNEC website.

Badge collection and security arrangements

It is imperative for all participants to adhere to the relevant United Nations security procedures, including registration deadlines and rules concerning identification badges.

For entry to the WIF, you will need to be registered in order to obtain a security badge.

The badge is to be worn at all times on the premises. For this, participants are required to bring with them an official national identification or passport.

Upon arrival at the premises, you are kindly requested to collect your badge at the Accreditation Desk. The Accreditation Desk is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (non-stop) from 15 October 2023.

The WIF starts at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, 16 October 2023. You are advised to arrive by 8:00 a.m. at the latest, to complete the security procedures and arrive at the meeting room in good time.
