Australia, Canada, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand and Singapore ratified the agreement triggering its entry into force from 30 December 2018.

Entry into force for other members:

- Brunei Darussalam: 12 July 2023

- Chile: 21 February 2023

- Malaysia: 29 November 2022

- Peru: 19 September 2021

- Viet Nam: 14 January 2019

The United Kingdom and CPTPP members signed the Protocol for the Accession of the United Kingdom to CPTPP at the 7th Commission Meeting hosted by New Zealand on16 July 2023.
