Revokes restrictions on foreign investment

On 14 May 2010, the President signed Law No.2155-VI dated revoking restrictions on foreign investment. In particular, the Law revokes the following restrictions: investing exclusively through investment accounts opened in Ukrainian banks; mandatory registration of investments; and prohibition to early (pre-maturity) repay loans received from non-residents. Additionally, the restriction to grant loans only in the Ukrainian currency to resident and non-resident individuals is cancelled with effect from 1 January 2011. The law enters into force from the date of official publication.
