Bangladesh has pursued significant strategic, legal and institutional reforms since the publication of its InvestmentPolicy Review (IPR) in 2013, despite various global crises. The Report on the Implementation of the IPR, prepared at the request of the Government, reviews progress made in improving the investment climate and supporting the country’s smooth transition from least developed country status.

It highlights achievements such as the creation of BIDA and digital facilitation platforms and identifies priority actions, including adopting a national investment policy and law, streamlining business establishment procedures and strengthening investment promotion to attract sustainable foreign direct investment.
