Ownership of Geophysical Service Inc. (GSI), a company creating and licensing seismic data principally for use in oil and gas exploration.
Claims arising out of the Government’s alleged unilateral disclosure to third parties of proprietary marine seismic data created or acquired by the claimants’ company GSI, without compensation for GSI or the possibility of recourse. According to the claimants, the Government thereby confiscated GSI’s intellectual property rights in the seismic data.
